Our Core Values
Our Investment Philosophy
At Glow Financial Planning, we believe investing should be simple, disciplined, and evidence-based—not driven by headlines or hype.
Our approach focuses on:
Broad diversification: We build globally diversified portfolios designed to capture market returns efficiently.
Keeping cost down: We rely on research-backed strategies rather than stock picking or market timing, using low-cost mutual and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Long-term discipline: We help clients stay invested through market cycles, focusing on what can be controlled—savings rate, costs, taxes, and behavior.
Personalized portfolios: Every portfolio is tailored to your goals, time horizon, and comfort with risk—not someone else’s idea of “average.”
The result is a straightforward, transparent investment plan that keeps you focused on your long-term objectives rather than short-term noise.
Why Choose a CFP® Professional
Working with a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, CFP®, means choosing someone who has committed to high standards of expertise, ethics, and client care. Here’s what distinguishes CFP® professionals:
Rigorous credentials & standards:
To become a CFP®, one must satisfy the “Four E’s”:
Education — Complete required coursework across financial planning topics
Examination — Pass the comprehensive CFP® exam
Experience — Demonstrate relevant real-world financial planning work
Ethics — Commit to and abide by a strict code of ethics and fiduciary duty
Fiduciary duty always:
CFP® professionals are required to act as fiduciaries when providing financial advice—meaning they must place your best interest above their own, avoid or fully disclose conflicts, and act with care and diligence. (Let's Make a Plan)
Relative rarity:
While financial advice is common, truly credentialed planners are far less so. In the U.S., there are roughly 330,000 personal financial advisors overall (Bureau of Labor Statistics). Meanwhile, just under 100,000 individuals hold the CFP® designation, according to the CFP Board. That means less than one in three financial advisors carry the CFP® credential—making it a meaningful differentiator in quality, training, and professional standards.
A proven process:
CFP® professionals follow a structured, seven-step financial planning process that ensures every recommendation is personalized, thorough, and aligned with your goals. This standardized approach helps you move from clarity to confidence—knowing each part of your plan connects to the bigger picture.
